Hoi An continues to be the venue for the International Choral Competition 2023

According to official information from the organizing committee of the International Choral Festival. Hoi An continues to be the chosen destination to host the event this year. After several years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this comeback promises to be filled with freshness and creativity.
As of now, the 2023 Choral Season has seen the participation of 20 choral groups with over 600 artists from 8 countries and territories. Including the host team from Vietnam.
Currently, the organizers are still inviting choirs from around the world to participate in the event. With the belief that the more teams participate, the more diverse cultural and artistic experiences will be showcased. That is why the choir competition promises to be an artistic symphony gathering in Hoi An. A beautiful and peaceful land in Central Vietnam.
Time of the event
This year, the competition will take place from April 2nd to 6th. The opening ceremony is scheduled to be held at Hoi An Theater on the night of April 2nd, located at 548 Hai Ba Trung Street. The main competition programs between the teams will be held at Hoi An Cultural Park. It located at 02 Tran Hung Dao Street, on April 3rd and 4th. In addition to the competition, international choir teams will have a performance called “International Melodies” in Hoi An’s ancient town. At famous locations such as 106 Bach Dang House, Kazik Park, and the entrance of Ba Mu Pagoda on the evenings of April 3rd and 4th.
Also within the framework of the event, Hoi An is organizing an art program called “Hoi An – The Colors of Silk” on the evening of April 3rd at the entrance of Ba Mu Pagoda. As recreating the Old Town of Hoi An on the evening of April 4th, 2023, to add more vibrancy to this year’s International Choir Festival.
On April 5th, the organizers will announce and award the prizes. Hoi An City will host a farewell party to conclude the International Choir Competition in 2023.
With the continued choice of Hoi An as the destination in Vietnam to host international events. Hoi An is filled with pride and determination to strengthen all resources. Also, enhance infrastructure to ensure the success of the events, just as expected as the “place of peaceful convergence” evaluated by the Interkultur association.
